Summary:

 

Dexcom’s legal team is growing and we are looking for a motivated paralegal to join our Legal Team to support our continued growth. This role will report to our Director, Legal Counsel EMEA and may be positioned in one of Dexcom’s EU-UK office locations, but a remote/hybrid arrangement may also be available. The candidate will work with a team of motivated and passionate attorneys and business partners across different offices and coordinate daily with local business leaders to support our marketing, commercial and legal process initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support all aspects of the end-to-end contract operations process for Dexcom’s Legal team. Draft and negotiate a wide range of customer and supplier/vendor agreements. Collaborate with other members of the Legal team and work cross-functionally with other teams. Obtain approvals for non-standard terms and conditions and review of contract terms. Create, improve, and implement applicable forms, templates, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency. Support process changes in alignment with stakeholders where needed and contribute to organization and maintenance of contract repository. Advise business partners on strategic initiatives, commercial transactions and contracts, business development, marketing law compliance, and reimbursement and market access. Coordinate with attorneys and stakeholders for ongoing legal advice on laws, regulations and guidelines related to medical device distribution and sales, marketing, privacy, clinical research, medical affairs, business development, and commercialization of products and services sold, marketed, or distributed. Provide counsel to business operations regarding the negotiation of commercial and marketing agreements. Effectively manage outside vendors and coordinate efforts across multiple internal teams. Provide guidance to internal teams on industry-best legal standards for marketing, intellectual property, etc. Frequent communication and collaboration with supervisor and HQ Legal colleagues. Understanding, support, and enforcement of Legal guidelines and procedures. Be organized, productive and consistent in meeting fast-paced activity and high quality standards. Liaise with stakeholders by providing information regular updates as to the status of their legal matter via email, phone, and/or Teams. Ability to understand and apply UK&Irish local and foreign countries’ laws, regulations, cultures, and procedures (i.e., EMEA).

Required Qualifications:

UK/Ireland Law degree; minimum Bachelor’s degree in Law, Pre-Law, Legal Management, Paralegal Studies, or equivalent along with significant post-qualification experience in law firm and/or in-house. Additional corporate experience in Middle East jurisdictions would be ideal Deep knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulations in UK/Ireland and international jurisdictions are a plus Ability to manage outside counsel relationships. Experience drafting and negotiating agreements. Ability to effectively manage a high volume of a wide range of projects. Ability to independently create legal documents and work with tracked changes and version control in documents. Experience working as a supporting member of high performing in-house legal teams or similar large law firm experience would be a plus. Ability to manage and supervise company business constituencies. Team-oriented and collaborative. Excellent decision-making and communications skills, both written and oral. Ability to think strategically and to formulate creative and practical legal business solutions is critical. Must be capable of working at a high level both independently and collaboratively, as part of a team. Must possess comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to use contract management systems. Ability to perform remote work professionally, confidentially, efficiently, and independently with minimal supervision. Strong English writing, editing, negotiation, prioritization, and presentation skills are a must. Arabic language skills are a plus, additional foreign language(s) are helpful, but not required. Ability to perform work at Dexcom’s offices in Camberley or Edinburgh as needed.
