We are looking to recruit an experienced General Manager who can really keep the party going at the Alex, you will be the type of General Manager who loves their customers – The customer base at the Alex is eclectic, from students to locals, live music lovers to late night party goers – The Alex has them all.
As with most SPK’s, sport is a big sales driver within the business. So, you will be keen to show your sports sales skills off to the max ensuring you look at all avenues to grow game time sales, be that through efficiencies or creating an atmosphere that everyone wants to be part of including that all important pre & post-match atmosphere.
In addition to sport, The Alex also offers a well-established quiz night and comedy night too. Paul Oxenham our SPK Area Manager is looking to recruit a General Manager who can take the Alex to the next level. You will have previous experience working within a similar style business where variety is very much the spice of life at The Alex.
With a very healthy food trade at The Alex which includes a Dark Kitchen, you will need to be confident in all thing’s food too, with the knowledge and experience to support the kitchen team to deliver on targets and to customer expectations as a minimum whist always ensuring the business trades safe and legal.
In summary – This business would suit an experienced General Manager who is used to driving sales through late night, sport and student activity through well planned events both weekly and key dates.
You must be willing to get stuck in, this is a role where you will need to work in the business just as much as on it. You will be able to demonstrate how you will lead, develop, and recognised your teams within the business.
