Role
Forbes Solicitors are looking for a Marketing and Events Executive to join the Marketing and Business Development Team at our Walton Summit office. This is a full-time role working 36.25 hours per week, Monday Friday, with the option for hybrid working available.

Working closely with the Public Sector Marketing Manager the Marketing and Events Executive will assist with the implementation of the public sector division’s marketing strategy.

Working within a fast-paced environment, organisation and time management skills are essential, as well as an ability to cope well with pressure. Reporting to the Marketing Manager Public Sector, the Marketing Executive will work closely with Partners, members of staff, and some clients.

The purpose of the role will be to plan, develop and organise marketing campaigns to strengthen existing relationships, and develop new client opportunities, in order to increase the firm’s profile and reputation in the Public Sector Markets in which it operates: Insurance, Education, Local Authority, Housing.

The role will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes such as:

  • Working with the Marketing Manager to develop multi-channel marketing campaigns in the public sector division to achieve the marketing objectives set in the business plans. However, more specifically, will include the following:
  • Organising targeted events, conferences and industry exhibitions to raise profile and develop new client opportunities.
  • Developing, promoting and running the online training for Education, Insurance & Housing
  • Directories Project manage submissions to Legal Directories.
  • Newsletters - coordination, editing and distribution of printed and digital newsletters and alerts.
  • Website Increase traffic to the department pages through sound SEO techniques and ensure the pages and content are engaging and up to date.
  • Working with advisors and our PR agency to encourage thought leadership for press, industry relevant editorial, social media and web articles. Creating social posts Championing social media including LinkedIn page and X accounts. Monitoring and measuring success.
  • Drafting award entries.
  • Preparing presentations for events and advisors.
  • Collaborating with external designers where necessary. Ensuring brand guidelines and Tone of Voice are followed at all times.

Essential;

  • Relevant qualification in Marketing, Business, or equivalent.
  • Marketing experience within multichannel campaign development, events both face to face and online, digital and printed media communications and client care.
  • Excellent IT skills, including CMS, social media, an understanding of design software, digital platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including copywriting, proofreading, and presenting.
  • Enthusiasm and resolve under pressure, including a proven ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and an ability to think ahead.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, the values of the firm.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a legal environment or legal services sector.
