Job Summary
Thisrole is crucial for individuals with handson experience in themaintenance and overhaul of various types of rotating equipment. Asa Rotating Equipment Engineer in our department you will be acentral figure in maintaining and repairing key equipment for oneof the most advanced energy companies globally.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the repair andoverhaul of rotating equipment including dismantling diagnosingassembling testing and issuing related technicalreports.
- Offer technical consultation to ShopsOperating Repair Units and Contractor Shops.
- Support field installation maintenance and repair ofrotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot repair andmodify existing equipment focusing on cost reductions and processimprovements.
- Prepare design engineeringpackages for rotating equipment.
- Conducttechnical investigations for shop repair return jobs to identifyroot causes corrective actions and lessons learned.
- Implement the latest technology in repairmethodology.
- Develop and revise thedepartments technical procedures and standards.
- Coach and share knowledge with junior engineers qualityinspectors and technicians.
- Provide technicalinput for purchasing specifications including technical proposalevaluation.
- Liaise with department engineersConsulting Services Department (CSD) other company departments andmanufacturers.
- Collaborate with InHouse RepairUnits Quality Assurance units InKingdom Contractors vendors andmanufacturers in shop repair work scopes.
- Participate in vendor and customer exchangemeetings.
Requirements:
- This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Abqaiq andJeddah SaudiArabia.
- Bachelors Degree inMechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years ofhandson experience in the mechanical field particularly withrotating equipment.
- Proven experience inmechanical design troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gasrotating equipment such as gas compressors steam turbines pumps andgearboxes.
- Experience in an original equipmentmanufacturing facility or certified repairing facility for steamturbines gas compressors and diesel engines.
- Excellent proficiency in English reading andwriting.
