We are currently recruiting for a Nurse Specialist (Band 6) to join our expanding Lower Limb Therapy Service and Well Leg Service.

The post holder will be able to demonstrate a passion for Leg Ulcer Management, excellent day to day leadership skills to support the team, providing specialist leg ulcer assessment, education/teaching and coaching for Community Nurses, patients and their carers. The post holder will have the competencies required to perform at this level and role model the Trust’s core values, as well as exhibit the behaviours required as part of those values.

The post holder will require excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work flexibly across a variety of clinic settings in Exeter, Mid and East Devon.

The post holder will be responsible for:

Providing comprehensive wound assessment, prevention and treatment skills around care of leg ulcers

Working closely with the Advanced Nurse Specialist (LLTS),Community Nurse Team Managers Nurse Specialist( Community) Tissue Viability service and other members of the Community Services Division to deliver safe, effective care across Exeter, Mid and East Devon populations.

Supporting the Advance Nurse Specialist in undertaking research activities and clinical audits in Community Lower Limb Therapy and well Leg service team.

Working Pattern: hours a week
