You will assist with preparing annual plans and quarterly forecasting. You will also provide spreadsheet analysis as required as part of the planning and forecasting of materials labour and overheads.

Another crucial aspect of the role would be training, advice and support on costing relating subjects to other CSCI Industrial sites as required.

You will be a subject matter expert for the Costing Centre of Excellence. 

The purpose of which is to:

• To streamline costing processes across all CSCI Industrial units 
• Provide central resources for training documents & videos, work instructions, SOP’s
• To provide a forum for regular knowledge sharing and alignment of deliverables
• To ensure adherence all relevant corporate policies and SOX controls

• Cost rolls on daily basis for new materials.
• Maintaining commodity codes, profit centres and VAT codes for new finished products.
• Quarterly cost rolls to monitor the changes in costs since the previous cost roll.
• Annual cost rolls to set the new standards for the following year.
• Maintaining the standard cost database in SAP.  
• Analysing data that feeds into the standard costs to detect and correct errors. e.g. Purchasing info records, lot sizes, bills of materials, routings.
• Assisting with the annual operations plan, including:- departmental costs, raw materials plan, labour and overhead plan, production variance plan.
• Provide costing support and training to other manufacturing sites for daily costings and annual cost rolls.
• Undertaking work necessary to comply with various SOX controls
• Involvement in special costing related projects as directed by management.
• Preparing costings for proposed new products. 
• Dealing with individuals from many different departments and all levels of the business. 
• Taking the initial enquiry and seeing it through to completed costing.
• Preparing product and project costing analysis for Product Alignment Forum and CSCI Stage Gate presentations.
• Representing Finance at the Product Alignment Forum and CSCI Stage Gate meetings. 
• Providing explanations of financials to non-finance personnel where required.  
• Creating reports using SAP ABAP Query. 
• This enables us to create essential financial reports from SAP database files in order to provide valuable information that would otherwise be, at best very time consuming or at worst completely unavailable. 
• Providing non-financial information to members of other departments utilising extensive knowledge of the SAP system.

• Accounting qualifications are not mandatory, but accounting experience and aptitude will be beneficial
• Experience of costing and management accounting, including forecasting and budgeting, preferably in a Pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Experience and knowledge of an ERP system (preferably SAP) in a manufacturing environment.
• IT literate, including advanced Excel skills.
• The job holder will have an aptitude for analysing data and be able to demonstrate that they can arrive at appropriate conclusions through understanding data and identifying trends and indicators.
• Must have sound communication skills and be comfortable with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
