Summary of Job Function: In this role you will be responsible for the preparation, build and end of line test of gearboxes and axles for low volume, high value driveline systems for a variety of customers. Based within our motorsport team.
This role is located at Ricardo’s Midland Technical Centre in Leamington Spa, you would be expected to be fully onsite. This is a permanent day shift role.
Education: Minimum GCSE in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above). Likely to have served a traditional apprenticeship or have relevant experience. Further vocational qualifications are an advantage.
Skills:
- Experience in the assembly of complex, precision mechanical / hydraulic systems to a high quality standard. Previous gearbox and axle assembly experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret component and assembly drawings
- Intermediate level of PC and general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
Aptitude:
Clear, logical thinker with the ability to understand and solve problems in a structured way.
Flexible in their approach with good time management skills. Can work independently to complete their assemblies, often to tight deadlines.
Working as part of a team to achieve team objectives, such as working alongside the Design Engineering team.
Good communication skills.
Ensuring processes are followed.
