What we are looking for

Our ideal candidate will have:

At least one year of Information Management experience An excellent understanding of political systems and institutions in the UK and EU A demonstrable interest in UK and EU politics and familiarity with their institutions and policy-making processes A collaborative approach to working, always looking to involve existing expertise within Dods Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with political delivery teams An understanding of information management best practises Ability to creatively solve problems Strong attention to detail A genuine interest in information management and willingness to learn

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Ensure that suggested amendments to the Political Topics Taxonomy are considered and either adopted or rejected with good reason Monitor how the Political Topics Taxonomy is applied in both Documents and Alerts, and work with delivery teams to improve how it used Constantly review the Political Topics Taxonomy to ensure the primary terms are comprehensible in both the UK and EU political spheres Ensure the People Taxonomy is updated in line with appointments and resignations, and synonyms are used to ensure the automated tagging is accurately applied Ensure the Organisation Taxonomy is updated in line with changes to institutional structures and public affairs organisations, and synonyms are used to ensure the automated tagging is accurately applied Ensure the Geographical Taxonomy is updated in line with geopolitical changes, and synonyms are used to ensure the automated tagging is accurately applied Investigate new Taxonomies that could support our service (eg. Legislation), and if approved implement and maintain them with the support of the delivery and technology teams Recommend technical improvements to how the taxonomy is managed and utilised to improve the client experience and our internal efficiency Be the taxonomy evangelist internally by continuously communicating and advocating it’s value to the service and how it improves the efficiency of the delivery teams
