We're adding to the team with a Finance Business Partner to support our RFA program, could this be you?

Who are we?

Cammell Laird's Birkenhead facility, on the banks of the River Mersey, expands across 130 acres and includes four dry docks, a large modular construction hall and extensive covered workshops.

We have a clear vision - to build customer success through capitalising on years of shipbuilding and ship repair experience and engineering strength to better support our customers.

What will you do?

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting, delivering clear, actionable financial insights and recommendations to both finance and non-financial colleagues, ensuring they have a strong understanding of how the business is performing
  • You'll drive and influence financial performance of the RFA program by identifying risks, rewards, and opportunities, and by making well-informed recommendations
  • As a trusted advisor to the RFA program you'll be influencing decision-making by providing robust financial analysis and insight into financial trends and impacts
  • To ensure potential risks and rewards in financial plans and decisions are highlighted you'll be ensuring that key stakeholders are informed and prepared.
  • You'll work closely with both finance and non-financial teams, translating complex financial data into easy-to-understand insight
  • Leading initiatives to improve financial processes and outcomes within the business unit, you'll be fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
  • You'll be responsible for Master Data Management within your financial reporting tools, we use Sage 1000
  • As we work through wider Business Transformation Projects, you'll be assisting the wider business in recommending, and implementing change

What are we looking for in you?

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent Professional Qualification
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to build relationships and influence colleagues at all levels, challenging and providing oversight to aid key strategic decision making
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial data including a clear understanding of cashflow, forecast and KPIs
  • Fine-tuned Communication & Presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to both finance and non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience in maintaining master records within financial reporting tools
