Job Description:
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Secondary School in Weymouth. This full-time role involves working within the school's resource base, providing essential support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Learning Difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the class teacher.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN and Learning Difficulties.
- Help to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and external professionals regarding student progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A patient and caring nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to the role and a passion for making a difference in students' lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
