Senior Support Worker

Salary: £25,740 per year plus benefits  Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis Employment type: Full- Time, Permanent

We are on the lookout for Senior Support Worker who is calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love. 

Furthermore, as  Senior Support Worker  you will: 

You will be a strong team player with the ability to lead by example, being professional, patient and calm under pressure with experience of providing extraordinary support. You will supervise daily outputs and assist the deputy manager in managing staff performance, development, and appraisals. You will have a QCF in Health & Social Care level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with willingness to undertake a level 3 in Health & Social Care and demonstrate reasonable knowledge of regulatory standards for supported/residential living. You will takepersonal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the people we support. You will help plan and achieve both short- and long-term goal. You will plan and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities. You will ensure the people you support and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, equity, and equality. Work in accordance with SeeAbility’s values

We are looking for the people with the right attitude, who has an open mind, forward-thinking and a sense of humour. You will be available to work 37.5 hours a week working a series of early shifts 7.00am to 3.00pm, mid shifts 9.00am to 5.00pm, 10.00am to 6.00pm, late shifts 2.00pm to 10.00pm, and every other weekend. This will be on a shift rota basis that is given to you 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Over-time shifts will be available.

Over the coming months, Royal Hill Park have the opportunity to support further individuals with complex health needs, to live a more fulfilled life and ultimately become more independent.

We are on the lookout for a knowledgeable Senior Support Worker who is eager to join our inclusive and supportive team. Together, we work harmoniously to provide the necessary support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical conditions, trauma-related conditions, behaviours that challenge, and visual impairments.

In your role, you will utilise your expertise to assist the people we support. We highly value individuals who possess a strong work ethic and are open to the training we offer. You will be responsible for delivering both direct and practical support to the people we support and their families. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important.

You will work in both 1:1 and group settings and be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will need to be calm, patient, and resilient and have a consistent approach. You will assist the people we support to engage in the interests they love. It is hugely rewarding to see the people you support improve; being able to do something today that they couldn't do last week, just because of you
