Job summary

We are looking to recruit Band 5 nurses to join us on our inpatient wards at Alton Community Hospital.

In May 2022 we opened Inwood ward a refurbished 20 bedded rehabilitation ward. This ward works alongside Anstey ward also a 20 bedded rehabilitation ward. We work together as a nurse and therapy led unit with support from GPs & a Consultant Practitioner.

This is an exciting time, working towards an integrated MDT approach which recognises the important role that the Community Hospitals play in supporting the home first approach and working with the wider system acute trusts and adult service colleagues. If you would you like to contribute to the delivery of high standard patient care we would like to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

To provide high standards of care for patients and their families by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care without direct supervision Assist in ward management, taking charge of the area in the absence of the clinical sister or ward manager.
