Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Pharmacy department at QEQM Hospital to help with admin and general office duties within the Pharmacy Procurement team.

We are a small, friendly team that provides an efficient medicines procurement service to all Pharmacy departments within East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust. We are responsible for sourcing, purchasing and invoicing medicines, ensuring medicines are always available in our pharmacies ready to be sent to wards and patients.

Main duties of the job

To complete pharmacy procurement administration tasks including filing of paperwork, electronic filing, scanning of documents and other admin office duties as required.

To assist the Senior Pharmacy Procurement Clerks with the basic purchasing of pharmaceuticals according to Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs).

To assist the Senior Pharmacy Invoicing Clerk with processing invoices for payment in line with lead time and legal requirements as per SOPs.

To answer telephone calls, liaising with customers/suppliers and dealing with routine queries and forwarding to senior colleagues if appropriate.
