Job Description

All Workshop Technicians, including Lead Technicians, report directly to this position. Responsible for supervision of 10 - 30 employees. Role focuses on the leadership and overall effectiveness of the department, rather than the individual tasks.

Typically will interface with all levels of internal and external customers. Commitment to customer service is critical. Frequent contact with Operations Management, Project Management, Project & Operations Engineering, Quality Assurance, HS&E, and all Shared Services within Subsea Services to communicate requirements, assignments, and results.

Responsible for the cost performance of workshop services. May participate in budget development and be responsible for managing costs within budget.

Manages, directs, and supervises work directly and indirectly through Lead Technicians and/or Technicians. Implements changes to functional and/or departmental processes to increase efficiency and productivity. Solutions are derived from experience, as well as from policies and procedures and consultation with other individuals. Expert knowledge of functional areas and understanding of how the function interacts and impacts other departments.

Errors are detected through the monitoring of the team, critical processes, process inputs and outputs, financial performance to budget and forecast, on-time delivery of all operational demands, and proactive management of critical business plans required to ensure optimal support of external customers. The impact of errors could lead to late delivery of TechnipFMC or customer assets and poor financial performance of the Subsea Services business.

You are meant for this job if:

AA/BA/BS in related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience. In addition, at least seven years of related experience. At least four years of management or supervisory experience. Industry and TechnipFMC product knowledge is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing practices. Strong computer proficiency with applicable software applications in related fields. The ability to establish deadlines and manage priorities for self and others is critical. Ability to complete performance reviews. Ability to transfer subject matter expertise. Ability to prepare and deliver presentations. Ability to supervise more diverse or complex functions.
