SAP Variant Configuration Engineer

The task:

Building heat exchangers is our business – in that, efficient product variant management is one of the crucial interfaces: you will be responsible for the development and implementation of variant configuration with configurable materials (KMAT) and the automatic generation of BOMs and routings. You will collaborate with our product experts all over the Group in order to accurately map the product logic and in a second step transfer the logic – once developed and implemented – to other Kelvion locations. You will be one of the master brains behind managing and maintaining material master data. You will virtually collaborate and work with developers in other locations in cross-functional projects. You will explore even more ways to improve our processes through optimized variant configuration, e.g. faster order handling, integration of pricing rules, improved quality management through precise specifications, accurate predictions for inventory management, configurable production plans.

Who we are looking for:

You have a BSc. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or in a related field or you have gained equivalent on-the-job experience, providing a solid foundation in the basics of software development and systems analysis. Experience in industrial engineering or production technology is a big plus, however not a must. You have experience with working in SAP systems, particularly in logistics and variant configuration, paired with a good understanding of manufacturing processes. You enjoy developing and implementing systematic solutions for complex business process requirements. A good command of English is a must, any other language is helpful as is programming knowledge (ABAP).
