About The Role

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team on a 6 month fixed term contract.

This is a great position for someone looking to gain more experience in accounts and finance, as you will have the opportunity to experience a broad range of finance tasks.

The position is based in either our Worcester office, or our Central England office in Northampton. Depending on your base office some travel to our Northampton/Worcester office will be required.

MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE :

To maintain the firm’s purchase ledger by processing invoices in an accurate and timely manner. To process expenses in alignment with the requirements of the firm’s departments and payroll. To assist with the processing of the firm’s credit card statements. To liaise with suppliers to investigate and resolve any issues. To assist other members of the finance team with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: Posting journals Ad-hoc reports from the firm’s reporting software and practice management system To work closely with the firm’s Head of Cost Management to provide support as and when required. To build strong relationships with the firm’s other Assistant Accountants and deputise in their absence.

About You

KEY SKILLS

Previous finance or accounts experience. Thorough attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with both team members and staff across the wider firm. Enthusiastic to learn and willing to engage in all projects & work as required. Flexible and able to switch between various tasks as required. Willing to travel to other offices across the firm as and when required.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Willing and keen to study towards accountancy qualifications. (Study support will be provided) Full UK driving license and access to own transport.
