This role involves covering lessons across various subjects in the absence of regular teachers. Full training will be provided to support you in this role. Assignment Details

As an Unqualified Teacher / Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to manage classrooms and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of regular teachers. Key duties include:

  • Supervising and managing classes across various subjects
  • Implementing lesson plans left by absent teachers
  • Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
  • Managing student behavior and promoting engagement
  • Providing feedback on student progress and any issues that arise
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to cover lessons

Person Specification:

  • Strong interest in education and working with young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively
  • Adaptability and quick learning skills to cover various subjects
  • Confidence in public speaking and engaging with groups
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  • No formal teaching qualification required – full training provided
