SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:  South Yorkshire

Salary Range: £80 to £100 per day (depending on experience)

Start: September 2024

Job Summary: 

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, the candidate will have to work closely with the Special Educational Needs or Disabilities. Supporting the learners mentally as well as physically with classroom & outdoor activities. A SEN Teaching Assistant helps special children access the curriculum and fosters their overall educational and personal growth.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, your responsibilities represent your hard work & potential. Your responsibilities include-

  • Working under a Teacher or an Instructor with academic along with extracurricular activities patiently with the specialized learners.
  • Providing special support to students with SEN individually to grab their attention.
  • Have to work closely with the teachers and the other organizational staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Have to try to catch all student’s unique strengths and challenges specially the challenged ones.
  • Support student's learning and development strategies.
  • Need to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • A well-managing classroom behavior effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Must be Experienced with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
  • Experienced candidates in the relevant field will be preferred.
  • Must have a certain degree in the related field.
  • Have to work under every circumstance individually or in a team.
  • Passion for committing to support special student welfare and progress.
  • Must have DBS (updated service) for the safeguard issue of the learners.
