Hays are working in partnership with an established Structural and Civil Engineering consultancy company in Belfast, looking to hire a Structural Engineer.The company has offices in Belfast and Dublin and has a well-staffed in-house team of professional engineers and technicians. They have extensive experience of designing, modelling, and constructing steelwork, concrete, timber, and masonry structures, as well as roads, drainage, hard landscaping, storm attenuation, flood defences, and retaining walls. They also have expertise in investigating and appraising historic fabric, assessing stonework, brickwork, timber, and metal structural forms, and designing conservation remedial works and repairs. They have worked across various sectors, including Ecclesiastical, Education, Health, Hospitality, Industrial, Infrastructure, Public & Community, Residential, Retail, and Sport & Leisure.
Your new role
Main Responsibilities of a Structural Technician:
• Undertaking technical drawings in 2D and 3D on infrastructure projects• Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of all the common building materials and details• Managing workload on projects to ensure client requirements are fulfilled & deadlines are met• Improving & contributing to the drawing office & company procedures
