Pig Stockperson – Ottringham, East Yorkshire

White Rose Farms Ltd are based predominantly in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire breeding and rearing pigs to Red Tractor standards. We are part of industry leading food producer Cranswick plc, a progressive FTSE Company.

We are seeking a keen individual to join our team as a Pig Stockperson at our farm in Ottringham. This role will provide an ambitious yet progressive career within the pig industry. Our farm is a high health unit within our growing and finishing operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our fast paced ever growing business with a bright future.

Main Duties:

Working with pigs on an indoor unit to ensure their health and wellbeing, including feeding, vaccinating moving and handling the pigs. Loading and unloading pigs as required. Managing the development and growth of the pigs. Completing and maintaining pig data and records in a timely manner. Ensuring the condition and appearance of the farm is maintained to a to high standard. Operating farm machinery/equipment.

You will need:

A keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare. Ability to prioritise and complete tasks with strong attention to detail. Self-motivation and a good work ethic. Willing to learn. Experience with livestock or an agricultural background (preferred).

Due to the rural location your own transport is necessary.
