Job Title: SnowflakeDBA
Location: Hybrid BostonMA (onsite 4 days/week)
Terms: Contract
Will require an inpersoninterview.
Thisis a Senior DBA position to work as a part of a skilled DBA team inorder to assist with migration maintenance update and support ofvarious database platforms including Snowflake Fivetran DBT DB2Oracle SQL Server AWS RDS Redis Document DB and DynamoDB DataMigration Service (DMS).
Activities will includeworking with other teams including development security and datawarehouse teams. Production oncall support maintenance and offhourdeployments are required.
KnowledgeSkills and Education Required
Handsonexperience with designing implementing and maintaining Snowflakeand Five Tran is a must. Certification preferred.
5 years hands on database work DB2/UDB SQLServer.
Handson experience with AWS RDSDocument DB DynamoDB and Redis databases.
Experience working with largescale databases
Anunderstanding of proper indexing and experience with querytunning
Knowledge of DB2 Range Partitioning MDCand MQT
Knowledge of UDB/AIX utilities such asbackup reorg run stats and rebind is required
Knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL Server reorg update stats
Experience with AWS DMS
Excellentcommunication (verbal and written) and interpersonalskills
Experience using a Software DevelopmentLife Cycle (SDLC) methodology
Ability toanalyze existing configuration and recommend hardware/softwareimprovements.
Strong analytical andproblemsolving skills.
Proven leadership andcollaborative skills.
Demonstrated ability tomeet business needs with sound technical approaches.
Selfmotivated taskoriented and capable of workingindependently on multiple simultaneous projects.
