About Us

UK NEQAS IIA provides immunology and allergy External Quality Assessment (EQA) to over 3000 laboratories in over 50 countries. The aims of the department are primarily educational and standardisation of both UK and international clinical laboratories undertaking immunology, immunochemistry & allergy testing. The EQA programmes provided are accredited to ISO 17043.

Main duties of the job

o Pre-analytical processing of samples to include the preparation, manufacture, suitability and distribution of EQA materialo To assist in data entry into the UK NEQAS IIA IT systemso Adhere to all Trust, Directorate and Service Policieso Store, retrieve and dispose of biological material according to the relevant procedureso Deal with direct queries from Medical and Scientific Staff and other Service Users including telephone enquiries and taking appropriate action as necessaryo Assist scientific staff in laboratory activities, including the correlation, analysis and scientific report of EQA data
