Secondary Daily Supply Teacher

Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear

Salary: £100 - £140 per day

Contract: Full Time, Temporary

 Start: ASAP

GSL Education are looking for Secondary Daily Supply Teachers to provide cover across various subjects in secondary schools in Washington, Tyne and Wear.

Job Summary: The Secondary Daily Supply Teacher will cover short-term absences of classroom teachers, delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring continuity in students' learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of subjects across the secondary curriculum.
  • Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures for delivering lessons and managing students.
  • Provide feedback to regular teachers on students' progress and behavior.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Flexibility and availability to cover on short notice.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience in unfamiliar teaching environments.

Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
