Head of HR Responsibilities
The Head of HR role is a senior level position and will include but not be limited to:
Leading on the development and implementation of an HR strategy, as part of the senior management team Using data reporting metrics to inform strategic choices and promote fairness and evidence-based practices Developing a culture where employee engagement and communication are actively promoted Ensuring compliance with public sector frameworks and reporting Ensuring that quality people are at the heart of everything and creating an environment that allows everyone to feel safe and empowered Developing HR policies and proceduresHead of HR Rewards
In addition to a competitive salary the Head of HR will receive:

Head of HR Experience
To be successful in this role, you will be a generalist HR professional, ideally MCIPD Level 7 or FCIPD (or equivalent) with a solid and proven track record of working on strategic and operational HR and Talent Development at a senior/ Head of level.
You must have experience working within a matrix organisation with complex reporting lines.
You must be credible and influential with senior level stakeholders and be a calm and easy going individual. The HR and Talent team is made up of 6 professionals and so it is essential that you have managed a team of this size previously. You must have a broad experience across all areas of HR, operating at a senior level with experience in attending executive and board meetings and have strong commerciality and a lot of common sense You will have experience of working with a diverse workforce and of facilitating various groups to review and make improvements as needed and gain buy-in to ensure all employees are on the same page. You will have experience of collating HR data metrics and providing reporting to remain compliant and up to date with relevant legislations and local market trends. You will have an understanding of frameworks and working with layers of approval that take time to get things over the line. Patience and a sense of humour will be key You will be experienced at change management and partnering with the business to set the HR and Talent strategy and develop a high-performing team. You will have experience of driving key programme and processes such as performance management cycles, calibration facilitation, compensation planning, executive coaching and organisational design. You must have significant talent management experience.
