Job summary

The postholder will work in the MSK outpatient service which will accepts referrals from primary care, and secondary care specialties such as orthopaedics and rheumatology. B6 MSK physiotherapists contribute to the orthopaedic weekend rota at Wythenshawe Hospital.

The successful candidate will carry an independent caseload of patients with musculoskeletal problems, and deliver a high standard of evidence-based physiotherapy. There are opportunities to experience running rehabilitation groups and hydrotherapy, as well as seeing patients in a clinic environment.

Main duties of the job

Delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy management of patients with musculoskeletal presentations Supervision of less experienced staff, such as rehab assistants and band 5 physiotherapists Clinical mentorship of student physiotherapists Service development projects, such as audit and quality improvement programmes Participate in orthopaedic weekend rota
