The role…
  • As the Head of Projects, you will oversee a diverse team, providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership. You’ll foster an environment where team members at all levels can thrive and grow.
  • Collaborate closely with other Heads of Departments and the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic direction Management:
  • Ensure that every project meets the highest standards, from concept to execution, while maintaining quality control across all teams.
  • Allocate resources effectively, aligning team strengths with project requirements and career development goals.
  • Manage performance, support professional growth, and integrate freelance talent seamlessly into the team.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, positioning yourself as the senior point of contact for high-level discussions.
  • Lead critical project conversations, ensuring clear communication and smooth client experiences, even in challenging situations.
  • Drive operational excellence by ensuring adherence to the agency’s best practices and processes, constantly seeking improvements.
  • Manage project financials with precision, ensuring profitability while delivering exceptional value to clients.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with existing clients, contributing to pitches and helping secure new business.
  • Provide forecasting updates and insights to the Managing Director, supporting the agency’s growth objectives.
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • A seasoned B2B events expert with extensive experience in delivering large-scale conferences and events, particularly for leading global brands.
  • Proven leadership experience at "Head of" level, managing both permanent and freelance teams of 20+ members.
  • Strong operational and commercial acumen, with a history of managing substantial budgets (£3m+).
  • Exceptional planning and pre-production skills, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with creative and production teams.
  • A proactive leader who can inspire a team and lead from the front when necessary.
