The BASF Agricultural Specialities Limited production site in Littlehampton, produces industry leading biological pest control products formulated from beneficial nematodes. These products are used by farmers and growers across the globe in agricultural, protected ornamental and home and garden markets. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Asset Manager your responsibilities will include:

Provide effective leadership to a small team, ensuring the site strategy is clear and implemented within the team. Define and implement an asset strategy that ensures sustainable operation of the site.  Co-ordinate and implement all site CAPEX projects, including site Asset management. Leading management of change and identifying potential projects for improvements. Responsible for planning and implementing all maintenance activities on site, as well as managing the maintenance budget to ensure that costs are controlled while meeting operational needs. Drive a culture of safety among BASF employees and contractors, ensuring that safe work practices are followed at all times. Ensure that all assets on site consistently meet the compliance, EHS, and quality standards set by BASF and external regulatory bodies, especially in regard to Process Safety topics.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering as a minimum or equivalent. Considerable experience in a manufacturing environment performing safety reviews, maintenance management and project management. Excellent communicator (Fluent English), interpersonal relationship skills and experience of leading people. In addition, we are looking for a proactive, highly motivated individual who is keen to learn and will deliver solutions to optimise site/business performance.
