Position: Teaching Assistant (full time)

Hours:

-          Monday to Friday 8:30-15:15

Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant / support assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs across Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4. Your responsibilities will include assisting teachers in the classroom, provisioning one-to-one support, and crating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for the students.

Working with boys who have social, emotional an mental health needs is a rewarding and impactful experience. It requires individuals who are empathetic, patient and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of these students. You will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with the students, helping them build confidence, resilience, and a love for learning.

We are looking for individuals with the right personality and mindset to thrive in a challenging yet fulfilling environment. While experience is desirable, we believe that the right person can make a significant impact with the following qualities:

-          Resilience: the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to the varying needs of the students.

-          Empathy: A genuine understanding and compassion for the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.

-          Patience: The capacity to support students at their own pace, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.

-          Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of individual students.

-          Team Player: collaborative attitude and effective communication skills to work closely with fellow staff members.

Salary:

£11.80-£14.80 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
