Role and Responsibilities

Finance Analyst

Finance Analyst will be responsible for preparation and ownership of financial reporting and financial information including financial forecasts for respective business entities and supporting the preparation of the Financial statements to ensure statutory compliance. Working closely with business and Finance leadership to ensure accuracy and compliance. Responsible for completing full month end cycle and fulfilling external and internal reporting requirements on a timely basis.

The role we are offering you:

Complete the overall Month End process to ensure deadlines are met. This will include recurring journals and other required by the business.

Own financial statements, monthly reporting and any related variance analysis (TC MOR)

Partner with the Finance leadership to ensure financial reports comply with IFRS

Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information including management of the overall financial close process

Complete the different corporate reporting deliverables. Month End Packs (MEP), HFM, CIT, IC

Do the administration of bank accounts and completion of the balance sheet reconciliations for each individual entity in the region

Ensure timely completion of VAT returns, WHT, payroll taxes and any other local TAX requirements and associated reconciliations

Do overall administration of the expense claim process

Track labor, payroll, and intercompany chargebacks to ensure alignment with contracts

Initiate and reconcile intercompany chargebacks to ensure accuracy and timely payment

Execute internal and external audit activities to meet deadlines

Support the statutory filing requirements of respective entities

Maintain industry and company knowledge to enhance variance explanations and financial reporting

Ensure all stakeholders receive timely, accurate updates at least monthly to assess performance and proactively steer decisions

Drive process improvement and proactively identify cost reduction opportunities

Our ideal candidate has:

University degree in accounting or finance

3-4 years of experience in accounting, finance or related field

In depth knowledge of accounting principles, public company financial reporting & practices

Analytical, conceptual thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge and experience in Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Enterprise preferred

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Applications required (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access)

Full understanding of financial accounting to trial balance

Knowledge of VAT

Ability to work successfully with multiple foreign currencies

In addition to the following experience:

Effectively manage stress and work well under pressure

Meet deadlines within prescribed timeframes while delivering a high standard of work

Learn financial requirements of existing/new/different countries

Deal decisively with both routine and non-routine matters unsupervised

Create and oversee financial reports and models

Able to work flexible hours (may include weekends and/or public holidays)

Fluent in English, both verbal and written
