The part you’ll play

You’ll take ownership of the strategic development of clients’ media recommendations, based on an in depth understanding of their market, competitors, and customers. Which means that you’ll have a deep understanding of media channels and a knack of identifying actionable insights that unlock a brief and creating compelling media solutions that excite clients and provide a clear pathway for them to achieve their media goals, whether that is brand, performance, or a mixture of both.

Our truly integrated approach will see you working closely with the McCann creative planning team to deliver a unified strategic approach on integrated clients which, we believe, makes it an incredible opportunity. You will also find yourself mixing, collaborating, and learning from teams across PR, Social, Data, CX and more.

Requirements

Clear ability to interrogate client briefs to create top class media recommendations based around our “Futureproof” strategic planning framework. You will be confident in articulating media strategy and channel plans that both excite and provoke clients. Have a passion for client service, with an ability to build meaningful relationships with them and apply a natural appetite for proactivity. Demonstrate in-depth media knowledge and expertise internally and externally. Experience of growing existing clients, as well as taking a lead role in new business pitches. Substantial experience with media planning tools and systems. Ensuring best practice is adhered to across the team. Building strong internal, cross-departmental working relationships, embodying our culture of “ego-less collaboration.” Forecasting and revenue management. Demonstrating commercial accountability on client accounts.

Core Competencies

In depth understanding of media strategy approaches and consumer journeys An ability to source or request insights and use them as a founding component of media strategy. In depth understanding of online and offline media platforms and emerging opportunities. Capable of overseeing and delivering high quality reporting and analysis to clients. Experience in pitching for new business, strong presentation skills. Working knowledge of trafficking processes. Concern for and a superb attention to detail. Ability to work to multiple deadlines and under pressure. A proactive and positive “can do” attitude.
