Quality Control, microscopy trouble shooting skills is essential to the role. Must be able to communicate effectively with all grades of staff, providing both leadership, training and mentoring.Applicants must have completed the IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma or hold an MSC. Consideration will be given to candidates nearing completion of post graduate qualificationsUniversity Hospitals Dorset Cellular Pathology department has a high quality UKAS accreditation record and it is an approved laboratory for Registration and Specialist training by the IBMS.The Cellular Pathology team is made up of different grades of Scientist, including Medical laboratory staff, associate practitioners and biomedical scientists the aim being putting the patient first and delivering a high-quality serviceThe role is fulltime, and you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week.Base Location: Royal Bournemouth HospitalInterview Date: TBC Main duties of the job The main duties of this role will be to act as lead for training and Mohs and supervise the day to day activities of the department, liaising with other senior staff to ensure that requests are met according to agreed policies and procedures.
