HOURS OF WORK: MONDAY TO FRIDAY 9AM-5PM

SALARY: UP TO £35,000

A vacancy has arisen for a Management Accountant, to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Barnsley.

 

The Management Accountant role exists to provide a wide range of financial analysis and planning support the FM and Operational teams.

 

The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -

 

      Producing accurate and timely monthly financial information in line with divisional and group reporting deadlines.

      Providing support to the operations team, including direct site liaison and site visits when required.

      Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for contract related GL's.

      Management of the Fixed Asset Register and the Right of Use Register.

      Fully understanding the contractual obligations, commercial model and performance targets for the operation, including the payment cycle.

      Raising risks, issues and opportunities to the FM in a timely manner.

      Providing financial insight to the FM and the operational teams through detailed analysis of actual and forecast results.

      Assisting with all aspects of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

      Providing financial training to operational staff, as appropriate.

      Developing reporting tools (particularly using SEI) as required.

      Deputising for FM when required, including at Operations meetings.

      Mentoring the management accounts assistant

 

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-


   Prior accounting experience (essential)     Expected to be studying towards an accounting qualification.      Strong IT knowledge, especially Excel.

     Attention to detail.

     Financial & commercial awareness. 

     Ability to build relationships through effective communication.
