About the role:

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring ESOL teacher to join our Lifeskills faculty based at our Banbury and Bicester College campus on a casual basis. The Lifeskills team work to support learners who face barriers to education, including learners with special educational needs, asylum seekers and refugees.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. The post holder should be able to deliver from pre-entry to Entry level 3 to adults.

This is a casual contract for 4 hours or more per week. Some evening teaching will be required.

What do you need to be successful as an ESOL Teacher at Activate Learning?

Successful candidates will have an ESOL teaching qualification (CertTESOL/DipTESOL/CELTA/DELTA). Whilst we would prefer applications from experienced teachers who hold a PGCE or degree, we would consider applications who do not hold a PGCE but who have substantial ESOL teaching experience.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have an open mindset and attitude towards technology and virtual learning tools. Along with current Maths and English skills, you will also demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
