Purpose Statement: Responsible for supervising and managing activities directly related to the daily business needs. The activities of concentration will include, but are not limited to the following areas – direction and leadership, daily production work load, quality, cross training, skill development and time off approvals/hours worked. This position is under limited supervision and is required to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills within established policies and procedures. Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of two or more employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. Completes performance appraisal recommendations, and recommends job classifications.

Key Job Accountabilities:

Assign work assignments based on daily department needs, ensure quality products are produced and achieve department metrics.Conduct human resource activities which may include approving time off, conducting performance appraisals, coaching and disciplinary action and maintaining company policies and procedures.Provides mentoring, leadership and direction for those you oversee.Effectively communicate daily schedules, goals, quality issues/concerns between shifts to ensure customer expectations are met. Follow proper escalation process when necessary.Ensure individuals are trained to the appropriate assembly build instructions and ensures personnel are compliant with all applicable SFT training requirements. Intelligently flex those you oversee to meet customer schedules based on training and skill sets.

Additional Accountabilities:

Ensure all proper documentation required for the functional area is followed.Ensure all required tooling for the functional area is utilized.Ability to follow documented instructions (ABI, WI, SOP, EOI).Continually integrates flexibility into methods, processes and procedures and is resourceful and creative with solutions.Conforms to all company policies and model by example.Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated
