Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Maintain the quotation and bid register using ERP System, ensure information is accurate
  • Ensure bid dates are known and adhered to
  • Support the development of accurate cost estimates of both labour and materials from concept drawings and sketches, task descriptions and proposal documents
  • Upload bids to client portals where applicable
  • Working with supply chain to develop estimates and / or drawing on historical cost records and modifying as necessary
  • Submitting official quotations to clients
  • Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business.
  • Sustain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Comply with all company procedures and policies.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Previous estimating experience required
  • Experience of working in the Engineering Services industry preferred
  • Proven ability of liaising with customers
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment against customer driven deadlines
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings
  • Proven ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Basic fabrication / weld overlay knowledge preferred
  • First rate communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
  • Proactive, flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude’
  • Strong team player
  • IT literate with specific experience using Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint programs.
