The position of Class 1 Relief Driver involves:

This is a permanent full time position to cover holiday and sickness.This will involve multi-drop trunking from Inverness depot to Queenslie depot and reload back to Inverness depot as and when required.You may also be required to use a Counterbalance to load and unload collection and delivery vehicles, unloading of night trunk vehicles for Pallet Networks, reloading pallets onto delivery vehicles at the depot.Assisting when required within the warehouse to include wrapping and labelling of pallets and keeping the yard clean and tidy.Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.Planning route on a day to day basis.Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.Attending regular training sessions.A flexible approach is required as the position will involve covering both day and night work.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Relief Driver:

Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.A current Counterbalance licence is desirable but not essential as full in-house training can be provided.Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.Working to deadlines.Confident, polite and a team player.Good geographical knowledge.Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

Salary for Class 1 Relief Driver is between £32,827pa - £39,039pa AND MORE depending on hours and shifts worked. Hours of work are Monday to Friday: Days – Start time between 07:00hrs – 08:00hrs, finish time circa 17:00hrs – 18:00hrs. Nights – Start time 18:00hrs, finish time circa 04:00hrs.
