Cover Instructor - Beauty

On the 1st August , UHI West Highland, UHI North Highland and UHI Outer Hebrides merged to form UHI North, West and Hebrides, a partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands. With staff and 19 campuses we cover an area larger than Wales and encompass more than 40% of Scotland’s coastline.

We are seeking a Cover Instructor - Beauty to be based at our Fort William centre.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver structured training to students using a variety of approaches to enable them to meet the standards required. Carrying out assessments to the standards set by the industry/awarding body, maintaining accurate assessment records, evaluating student performance and achievement, making recommendations and highlighting support needs as appropriate are also requirements of the role.

An industry related qualification at or above, combined with recent relevant industry experience is essential. Experience as a trainer / instructor is desirable.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to problem solve. They must be able to relate to students of all ages, and be available for cover at short notice, in particular, a Wednesday
