Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team on Butterley/ Heanor Ward as a Housekeeper. We are looking for 2 individuals to work 24hours per week / 6 hours per day. Covering mornings and afternoons over 7 days.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, highly motivated and who wants to make a difference to our patients' experience.

This person will demonstrate the values and personal qualities that support the DCHS way of working.

You will work as an integral part of the ward team and be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities services, over 7 days in the ward area; ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

You will demonstrate professional, well-established and effective communication skills, both internal and external to the organisation.

Butterley / Heanor Ward delivers care, rehabilitation and further assessments to our elderly population.

Main duties of the job

Ensuring that the patients nutrition and hydration needs are being met.

Ensuring that the ward areas are tidy.

Ordering of Linen and mattresses.

Effective communication with other team members and, most importantly, the patients.

Although previous experience is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided
