Carry out inspection and test of materials, parts and sub-assemblies.

Follow instructions, both written and verbal, and highlight any deficiencies observed in the process.

Be involved in all aspects of the manufacture from goods-in to despatch.

Use the skills and techniques acquired during training, to work in an efficient and quality conscious manner so that product quality and production targets are met.

Inform supervisors of any problems that exist which may affect product quality.

Work sensibly and safely at all times, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and reporting all Health and Safety concerns immediately.

Maintain a clean and ordered work environment and adhere to cleanroom operating procedures.

Key requirements

Electro-mechanical assembly experience.

A high level of dexterity.

Able to work in a cleanroom environment.

Good eyesight, with spectacles/lenses if worn.

The flexibility to adapt and continually improve.

A good level of PC literacy

The ability and confidence to operate test equipment and computer systems should the need arise.

The ability to read and correctly interpret build instructions.

Proficiency with technical information e.g., standard operating procedures and quality requirements.

Desirable requirements

An engineering qualification.

Experience with ISO9001 quality systems.

Familiarity with ERP software

Experience of working in a cleanroom environment, or a willingness to learn.

A full UK driving licence.

Ambition to move into more technical production roles.

Person specification

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art manufacture facility and be able to influence products and processes.

Candidates will be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to show initiative to make changes where applicable. Candidates will show good written and verbal communication and have a positive attitude and work as a team player.

As the successful applicant you will possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills and will be capable of planning and managing your own time and projects to meet business targets and expectations.
