Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that engages and motivates students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and whole-school events.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Science curriculum.
  • Support the school’s commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and take advantage of mentoring and support programs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or expected to achieve QTS by September 2024.
  • A degree in Science or a related field.
  • A strong passion for Science and a commitment to inspiring young minds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
