Youll support the development and delivery of a specialist clinical skills workforce development programme, to operational staff across the directorate, including Reablement Services, Learning Disability services and Older person's Residential and Nursing services.

Job responsibilities

The Learning and Development Team is made up of subject matter experts whouse their knowledge to inform practice through information, resources and expertled training to inform, inspire and innovate. As a team we work closely togetherwith a shared vision and drive to improve the lives of people who access Adultsocial care and the staff that support them.

In the role of Learning and Development Officer - Clinical Skills, you'll usespecialist clinical knowledge and experience to develop evidence based andinnovative person centred learning and development programmes to meet theoutcomes required by operational services undergoing transformation. You'll leadthe clinical skills learning and development programme within the Learning andDevelopment team, working in partnership with staff in operational teams fromprovider service, including Older Person, Learning Disability and Reablementservices

You'll design, implement and deliver a development and training programme to asafe and high quality level of clinical practice across all services. This will includeskills development in key areas of clinical practice that will support thesignificant workforce and cultural changes associated with the transformation ofadult social care and that will contribute to the success of integrationprogrammes with our health partners.

You'll also provide a specialist clinical skills training programme within AHC, forqualified nurses, and professional care staff working across the department. Thiswill be primarily those employed by Hampshire County Council (HCC) but alsothrough the external Impact programme, to staff working in the private andvoluntary social care sector in Hampshire.

Registration with NMC - Registered Nurse (Adults).

Experience

Essential

Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating clinical skills learning and development programmes and events. Recent and relevant clinical practice or clinical education and development. Facilitation and consultancy skills across agencies and departmental boundaries. Experience and commitment to working in a customer care, customer service focussed team. Experience of working with people with complex health and / or social care needs. Experience of working within partnerships to effect improvements in outcomes along with an understanding and appreciation of the contribution made by others in achieving good outcomes for vulnerable adults. Experience of working with a range of equipment and knowledge of the indications and contraindications for its effective and safe use.
