Location: Wakefield – MUST LIVE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE TO WAKEFIELD
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Car Mechanic within a Repair Shop located in Wakefield.
Our client has a need for a Car Mechanic who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative. The ideal mechanic will be fully qualified and experienced within the role.
Duties:
- Servicing and repairs to a variety of cars and small vans.
- Fitting of exhaust, tyres, clutches timing belts etc.
- Most be fully skilled, time served.
- MOT Testing Performing Diagnostic Testing to identify vehicle Faults
- Ensuring that paperwork is completed to the highest of standards
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
Car Mechanic Requirements:
- A Fully Qualified Vehicle Technician to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- A Current and Valid UK Driving Licence
- Dedicated and committed approach.
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
