Job summary
Norfolk Community Health and Care are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist with an interest in working with adults with learning disabilities to join the Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) based in Attleborough, South Norfolk.
You will need to have previous experience of working in health and social care settings. The role is community-based, so it is essential that you either hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use, or the ability to travel independently.
Recruitment Prima
This post is eligible for a welcome incentive of up to £2,000 in accord with the following criteria:
Must be new to NCHC (not applicable if moving within the Trust); Contract period must be at least 2 years duration or permanent; The amount payable is pro-rata with whole time equivalent (WTE) up to a maximum of £2,000 for full time posts; If meeting the criteria the recruitment prima will be paid in two equal amounts; the first payment in the first pay run after commencing in post; the second payment on successful completion of the Trust's 6-month probationary period; If leaving the Trust within 2 years, the recruitment prima will need to be reimbursed at a reducing rate of 1 x 24th part, per month of employment.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/patient principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention To deliver services following agreed physiotherapy clinical pathway To work as part of the multidisciplinary team. To delegate tasks to Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner staff as required. To support colleagues to provide practice placements for Physiotherapy students.

The five Adult CLDTs in Norfolk are multidisciplinary teams and are co-located with Social Care. There is one full-time post in the South Norfolk CLDT based in Attleborough.

To assist senior staff in the provision of advice, teaching and instruction to relatives, carers and other professionals, to promote understanding of the aims of physiotherapy and to ensure a co-ordinated approach to patient care. To maintain own clinical professional development (CPD) by keeping abreast of any new trends and developments and incorporate them as necessary into your work and to be an active member of the in-service training programme by the attendance and assistance at staff meetings, tutorials, training sessions, external courses and reflective practice.
