An opportunity has arisen to join our well respected physiotherapy outpatient team in the Kerrier Locality working at Camborne Redruth Community hospital and may also cover our Helston department if circumstances require it.

Our service provides out-patient physiotherapy to the local community accepting referrals from GPs, Consultants and Allied Health Professionals, as well as Patient Self-referrals. We have a strong commitment to professional development, regular supervision and in-service training at a local and countywide level.

We are looking for a capable, motivated and flexible colleague to join our team on a full time basis.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service. Performingmusculoskeletal assessment of patients and from this formulatinga diagnosis and treatment plan and carryingout this plan as an autonomous practitioner.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

Essential

Current professional registration - HCPC Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy IELTS unless qualification taken in English

Desirable

Evidence of further training relevant to specialty Post Graduate Courses

Experience

Essential

Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team Broad range of placement experience of medical, surgical, orthopaedic and rehabilitation work

Desirable

Previous NHS experience Previous experience in MSK Outpatients

Skills and Aptitude

Essential

Up to date clinical skills Excellent communication skills-empathy, negotiation, and motivation, presenting of complex facts in an understandable way, re-assurance and support particularly to anxious people

Evidence of responsibility health and safety, steward, committee member
