Our Nursery
The 100 place nursery is located on the outskirts of the town centre situated in a friendly neighbourhood community, giving you that ‘home from home’ feel. It is just over a mile away from the train station with local convenience shops within a 2 mile radius from the nursery. This setting provides a car park outside the nursery for employees to use. In 2017, our team were awarded a ‘Good’ OFSTED rating.
Preschool Team Leader
- You’re an able and enthusiastic leader, a people person who can communicate well with others at all levels, from employees to young children. With previous experience of leading a team, you’ll have an excellent understanding of all standards and requirements that our nursery needs to comply with, including the EYFS, Ofsted and Health and Safety.
Room Leader
- We are currently seeking people who are passionate about childcare to join our team of staff as a Room Leader. Our staff are essential to the smooth running of our nurseries and are valued members of the team; you will build relationships with children and parents and be involved fully in nursery life.
- Please be advised if you do not possess a full and relevant qualification or experience within the childcare sector your application will not be considered.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Working as part of a team and using your initiative and imagination to generate new ideas
- Using your excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with parents, children and welcome visitors to the Nursery
- Planning, implementing and evaluating a curriculum appropriate to age and individual needs of the children ensuring the room layout supports these aims
- Fulfilling the role of key person to an exemplary standard, providing a positive role model for team members.
- Ensuring that the EYFS is implemented and followed throughout the team to an exemplary standard. (TL)
- Providing day-to-day leadership and management for the team and staff across the nursery as required. (TL)
- Being involved in the recruitment of staff, including but not limited to, shortlisting, interviewing and observing safer recruitment practices.
- Assisting in the effective use of social media and other marketing activities as required.
Your qualifications and experience:
- A NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
- A good understanding of the EYFS and to be able to use this to plan activities for the children
- Awareness of planning, observing and record keeping for young children and the ability to link these to the individual child’s needs.
