Main duties of the job

As a clinical assistant, supporting the Radiography department, the core of your role is to ensure our patients receive the best standard of care from arrival through to departure. The Clinical Assistant is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the working day by welcoming patients into the clinical area and preparing them for their scan. This role will rotate between working alongside the Radiographers and working on the reception desk to support all parts of the patient journey Welcoming patients in a professional, courteous manner, coordinating their arrival through to departureEscorting patients to and from the clinical area as required, explaining the procedure in full and ensuring any questions or concerns are managed professionallyCompleting the patient's pre-scan data protection/consent form and health and safety questionnaire (where applicable)Assessing and monitoring the patient's condition after procedure, ensuring that any changes are reported to the relevant staff immediatelyAccurately entering all relevant patient data into the patient management systemManaging administrative tasks within the department as required.Working on the reception desk, professionally welcoming patients into the Centre

What will you do:

We are looking for someone who has

Experience in a healthcare environment or a passion to work in healthcare Experience working in a customer facing role Strong administration skills Flexibility to working patterns An empathetic and caring approach A passion for delivering the highest level of customer service Experience working in a fast paced environment Person Specification
