What You’ll do (the role)

As Lightsource bp accelerates its growth trajectory, the Finance function is continuously growing, adapting, evolving to support this growth and complexity. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager - Treasury, this role is responsible for providing accounting support to the team, including an oversight of intercompany positions, and to become a key business partner across our finance functions.

To assist Lightsource bp in delivering its growth targets, it is essential to maintain visibility and control over our processes to minimise risk. This role will ensure compliance with the Group’s policy and procedures and the development and automation of internal processes and procedures to support internal and external compliance requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

Manage the monthly reporting of the Treasury entities in accordance with the group’s timetable, local GAAP and IFRS requirements. This includes full reconciliations on balance sheet accounts and the production of management accounts with commentary. Support the Intercompany Accountant to ensure all intercompany relationships are correctly recorded and mismatches resolved by working with the various regional finance teams. Support the annual audit of the Treasury entities ensuring group controls are adhered to and group filing deadlines are adhered to. Manage the statutory reporting of the Treasury entities by providing documentation as required by LSbp’s external auditors.

Project Deliverables:

Support and drive process improvements initiatives across LSbp.

Qualifications

Degree and or qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA

Essential experience

Working knowledge of SAP S4/HANA Relevant financial accounting experience, particularly around resolving intercompany mismatches and balance sheet substantiations Strong control focus is essential and the ability to adapt / build processes to ensure that controls are operationally effective Understanding of the SOx framework and application and development of controls

Personal qualities

Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail with a strong control focus Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects concurrently with a focus on meeting key reporting deadlines and delivering results Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel Must be able to communicate confidently and effectively (verbal and written) within the team and with other stakeholders across the finance function Represent Lightsource bp values of Safety, Integrity, Safety, Sustainability and Drive
