Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the theatre setting.
  • Assist with surgical procedures and ensure a safe and sterile environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.
  • Monitor patients during surgery.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Follow infection prevention control protocols to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.

Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ophthalmology experience would be a huge advantage.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care principles.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make critical decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in infection prevention control measures and maintaining a sterile environment.

Requirements:
  • Must have a valid NMC registration
  • Minimum of 1 years experience as a scrub nurse in either the NHS or private sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to work under pressure.
  • Live in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
