Based: Spindles Shopping Centre

Role Overview:
Working within the Learning Disability and Autism Social Work Team, you will be a key player in managing the team to drive forward best practice. You will be responsible for co-ordinating team activities and contributing to the strategic development of the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake a wide range of staff management activities, including recruitment , selection, inductions, sickness monitoring, H&S, Discipline and grievances
- To ensure work is allocated appropriately
- To appraise staff and ensure learning needs are identified and met
- Conduct formal and informal supervision if staff
- To promote required chances
- Collate information to present to senior management
- Develop and implement quality standards
- Deputise for the Service Manager when required
- Compile information and write reports as required
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
- Be a registered Social Worker and hold a post qualifying award.
- Have 2 years experience within management/ leadership
- Knowledge of Learning Disability Services and best practice
