Neonatal Hospitalist

Primary responsibilities will be to provide care to newborns in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and the Cambridge Hospital (CH) neonatal units and delivery rooms and possibly at other BILH sites in the future. At CH, you will be expected to round on your assigned patients, provide direct clinical care including procedures, communicate with families, provide consultations to antepartum patients, and attend high risk deliveries as needed. As with other members of the team you will also be expected to share in holiday clinical coverage at CH and BIDMC. To enhance and maintain current clinical knowledge and skills, your hospitalist responsibilities will also include rotations in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Special Care Nursery, and possibly the Cochran Newborn Service (well-newborn unit). We anticipate that these days at BIDMC will be comprised of consecutive days of coverage to optimize patient care continuity and learning.
